Oneshi Press is seeking short comic submissions for their quarterly anthology series again. This time they are after tales of terror for their October release! Further details in their press release below.

April 23, 2018 (Missoula, Montana): Independent publisher Oneshi Press announces its open call for short comics, due by June 1, for consideration in its October 1, 2018 indie comics anthology.

The 6th anthology will be a celebration of all things autumn, from ghosts and ghouls to sweaters and cider! Writers and sequential artists are invited to submit gorgeous 8-page works that draw readers into richly developed worlds, with emphasis on the supernatural, the quaint, and the progressive—Oneshi Press’s most cherished value.

“Show us your creepiest, crawliest comics! Your scariest sequential art!” says co-founder and sex-positive author Lynsey G. “We’re looking for work that stands out from the crowd because it’s unique, gorgeous, and woke AF. Show us your LGBTQIA+ ghost stories, vampires of color, lesser-known autumn holidays and traditions…We want o see it all!”

Oneshi Press prioritizes marginalized voices and stories that are told from those perspectives. LGBTQIA+ creators, creators of color, disabled creators, and others with unique stories to tell are especially encouraged to submit. Creators retain ownership of their work, and are paid royalties. Anthologies sometimes include depictions of non-explicit sexuality and violence; creators should be comfortable with these themes when they submit.

Submissions for the 6th anthology are due by June 1, and the Press is always accepting submissions for future anthologies. The issue will also feature fine art spotlights and guest art, so visual artists are invited to submit samples of their work, as well as guest art of Oneshi Press characters.

Past anthologies have featured serial publication of the sex-positive, feminist sci-fi epic Tracy Queen; Lomack, an apocalyptic dark fantasy; and the canine-vigilante-noir series PACK. They have also featured one-shot short comics from an exceptional group of diverse creators from around the world.

Submissions guidelines can be accessed at the Oneshi Press website, and previous comics anthologies can be purchased at the Oneshi Press store.
