What to watch on Netflix for comics fans now that all the Marvel Netflix series have been cancelled and you’ve already blown through the rather emo The Umbrella Academy? Well, we’ve still got one season of Jessica Jones to look forward to. In March? No. In fact, March is a little slim on superhero and comic book properties. Had to happen sometime, I suppose.

Hey, there’s more to life than superheroes, though. Like zombies and time travel and robots. Yeah, we like our genre stuff over here. Here’s what’s new on Netflix in March… and what’s leaving.

Want a few Netflix suggestions? All of us here at the Grawlix Podcast are looking forward to Love, Death & Robots. This wild looking animated anthology is presented by film directors David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Gone Girl) and Tim Miller (Deadpool, the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate). Melanie and I are also looking forward to season “5b” of Arrested Development and season 3 of the zombie-mom comedy Santa Clarita Diet. One of Melanie’s favorite anime series is also hitting Netflix. Hunter X Hunter Seasons 1 – 3 will be available March 8th. Which Hunter x Hunter? Most likely the 2011 Madhouse series.

On the “classic” movie front. A few super-fun flicks will be streaming in March. Horror-comedy Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is a great take on the redneck slasher genre. The ridiculous Kung Fu Hustle is basically a kung fu movie with Looney Tunes sensibilities… and it absolutely works.

If you prefer your martial arts movies a bit more melancholy, the classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is also hitting Netflix in March. Not to be confused with the Netflix produced sequel, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Sword of Destiny, that movie is cheap trash. Okay, maybe that’s a little harsh but it was a let down, to say the least. Or scratch the kung fu and go straight for a bit of the ol’ ultra-violence with Stanley Kubrick’s bothersome classic, A Clockwork Orange.
